Services

Speech Therapy:
Our Speech-language pathologists, assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and other related disorders. In collaboration with the team, individual and group therapy goals are identified, implemented and monitored.

Occupational Therapy:
Our occupation therapists assess, diagnose, and help individuals engage in activities of daily life, such as self-care skills, education, work, or social interaction. They encourage participation in such activities despite impairments or limitations in physical or mental functioning

Physical Therapy:
Our Physical Therapists assess, diagnose, and provide individuals essential and unique services to students with disabilities. They deliver an array of services, which change as students develop. Consultation, teaming, collaboration, and/or direct service may be appropriate.

Counseling:
Our Counselors assess, diagnose, and treat students and individuals by advising on personal, academic and career choices. They utilize their experience in various ways such as play therapy, one on one consultation, group therapy to help cultivate the student or individual in daily life.

Dyslexia:
DAS provides a comprehensive Dyslexia infrastructure that includes program set up. Ongoing staff development, screening, assessment and intervention utilizing trained and certified staff. DAS offers two intervention modalities for clients utilizing these services. Both are multisensory in nature.

ESL:
Our ESL program is implemented by a certified, highly qualified teacher to ensure the accurate Identification of ESL students. Services include, but are not limited to, administration of a state approved survey, LPAC meetings, placement and yearly monitoring.

Training:
With the completion of a needs assessment, our personnel are equipped and prepared to develop training modules in all areas of the educational arena, including but not limited to disability identification, and accommodation implementation. Our goal is to empower your administration, staff, parents and students.

Consultation:
DAS offers our extensive knowledge of all mental health, special education, ESL and Dyslexia components, such as legal issues, best practices, and daily operational strategies, which we share as your consultant. This information can be provided at scheduled intervals or when a specific need arises as an "on call" service during each day.

Autism:
Our Autism team assesses, diagnoses, and provides recommendations to help the student or individual utilize their strengths in helping to overcome their daily obstacles in life. The team consists, but not limited to, a licensed school psychologist, diagnostician and speech pathologist.

Audio Impairment:
We have a certified, high qualified, audio impairment teacher to ensure the accurate identification of students with a hearing deficiency. Services include, but are not limited to, administration of state approved survey, participation in ARD meetings and consultation with students.

Visual Impairment:
We have a certified, high qualified, visual impairment teacher to ensure the accurate identification of students with a sight deficiency. Services include, but are not limited to, administration of state approved survey, participation in ARD meetings and consultation with students.

E-Therapy:
DAS is excited to now offer E-Therapy services for counseling, speech and occupational therapy for students or individuals with a disability. With E-Therapy we can service clients in remote and under-served regions and students and individuals who are physically unable to leave their home.
